Board of Trustees
The Foundation’s Board of Trustees sets the principles for the Foundation’s work and the Kolleg’s long-term goals, monitoring the other committees. It has four automatic members as representatives of the founders. Additional members are not appointed.

Chair
Professor Dr. Dr. h. c. Ursula Gather has been the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation since 2013. From 2008 to 2020 she was Rector of the Technical University of Dortmund. Until she took on her university position, she held the Chair of Mathematical Statistics and Industrial Applications at the Technical University of Dortmund.
Professor Dr. Gabriele Sadowski

Vice Chair
Professor Dr. Gabriele Sadowski is a chemist. Since 2001 she has been a professor of thermodynamics at the Technical University of Dortmund. In 2022 Gabriele Sadowski was appointed to the Science Council. In addition, she has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation since 2022.
