The team of the Manor House Center of the Baltic Sea Region invites you to the final conference to present and discuss the results of their three years of research. For centuries, the Baltic Sea region has been a center of complex relationships that are reflected in the cultural heritage of the region, especially in the manor houses that act as hubs in rural areas. The research project, funded by the Ministry of Science, Culture and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, examines manor houses and estates from the 18th century from a transnational perspective. Architectural, artistic and garden-historical questions as well as digital research methods are taken into account. The conference will highlight various topics of manor house research, including the role of artificial intelligence, and emphasize the connection between humanities and digital knowledge gain.
