After a period of intensive preoccupation with “Jesus of Nazareth” in social- and religious historical work, dogmatic Christologies seem to be making a comeback. The themes of the conference are:
- the importance of Christology for dogmatics more generally, including hermeneutics and semiotics;
- the capacity of Christology to provide a point of integration for worship, the practice of reconciliation etc.;
- the “center” of this center in dogmatic thinking (incarnation or cross and resurrection, theology of the Word or Spirit Christology; divinisation or reconciliation and new creation);
- the place of “Christology” in Jewish-Christian-Muslim trialogue;
- revisions of classical Christological topics on the basis of theologies of gender.
