The analysis of identity has been carried out on a variety of levels by different scientific disciplines, which have been continuously adding new dimensions to the general discussion of the concept. The idea of ‘intersectionality’ has been developed in this discussion for a considerable time, and its formulations have been enriched not only by theoretical reflections but also by multiple literary expressions of this notion and an approach towards identity categories that it promotes. Canadian lesbian writing can be named among those examples of literature which have continued a creative exploration of intersecting identities, and so the aim of the lecture is to devote close attention to the examination of ‘intersectionality’ in works by a Canadian queer writer, Marusya Bociurkiw.
